Microsorum scolopendrium (Wart Fern)

🌱 Microsorum scolopendrium🌱

Herbaceous perennial fern. Hardy, disease and pest resilient, mildly salt tolerant. Loves the Partial shade to full shade in zones 9-11. WF has a moderate growth rate and will reach about 15 inches tall (3’if allowed) and will spread but is surprisingly easy to manage. Leaves are thick, bright green with dark spots on the underside (hence the name wart fern.) Due to its spreading habits it is best to use WF in a container, as a border plant, ground cover or in a large mass. Plant 12-15 inches on center for best coverage.
